We left the home of Carl and Roseanne early this morning to make sure we had plenty of time to cross the mountains and get to Spokane before dark tonight.
Nos fuimos de la casa de Carl y Roseanne temprano esta mañana para darnos suficiente tiempo para cruzar las montañas y llegar a Spokane antes de anochecer.
As I write this we are in Washington and about 20 miles away from Spokane. We’ve seen beautiful scenery today and driven through lots of rain. We are very happy that it’s a little warmer here (around 40 degrees) and raining instead of snowing!
En el momento que escribo esto estamos en Washington y nos faltan 20 millas para llegar a Spokane. Hemos visto panoramas hermosos hoy y hemos pasado por mucha lluvia. Nos da mucho gusto que no hace tanto frio aquí (esta alrededor de 40 grados Fahrenheit) y que ¡esta lloviendo en vez de estar nevando!

Tomorrow we plan to take a day of rest in the home of our friends, Bob and Ruth. Bob and Ruth are the parents of our friend, Dan, who we know from Baja Bible School in Tijuana. We have seen Bob and Ruth in Tijuana several times and are looking forward to our visit with them.
Mañana tenemos planes de tomar un día de descanso en la casa de nuestros amigos, Bob y Ruth. Bob y Ruth son los papas de Dan, nuestro amigo de Baja Bible en Tijuana. Hemos visto a Bob y Ruth varias veces en Tijuana y esperamos con ganas el tiempo que vamos a pasar con ellos.
If all goes according to plan, we will leave Spokane to drive to Tacoma on Tuesday morning. We will not be posting anything on our blog tomorrow, so happy Lord’s Day to everyone and we will see you on Tuesday, Lord willing.
Si todo sigue el plan, nos iríamos de Spokane el martes en la mañana para manejar hasta Tacoma. No vamos a escribir nada en el blog mañana, así que feliz día del Señor a todos y nos vemos el martes, primero Dios.
What we traveled today

We started the morning off right with a hot breakfast of French toast and bacon, thanks to our new friend, Rose. We said goodbye to Jim and Rose, but we couldn’t leave Wall without making one very important stop: Wall Drug.
Empezamos la mañana bien con un desayuno caliente de pan francés y tocino, gracias a nuestra nueva amiga, Rose. Nos despedimos de Jim y Rose, pero no podíamos irnos de Wall sin hacer una última parada muy importante: la farmacia de Wall.
We looked around and saw lots of interesting stuff in their museum…
Miramos muchas cosas interesantes en el museo de Wall Drug…
…and made some interesting acquaintances…
…y conocimos a unas personas interesantes…
…then we followed the irresistible smell of fresh donuts to the café where we bought ourselves a second breakfast. And yes, the coffee really costs five cents!
…y después seguimos el olor irresistible de donas recién hechas hasta el café donde nos compramos un Segundo desayuno. Y si, ¡el café costó 5 centavos de verdad!
Shortly thereafter we crossed into Wyoming where the scenery began to change from prairie to mountains.
Poco después cruzamos a Wyoming, donde el terreno empezó a cambiar de pradera a montañas.
In Sheridan, Wyoming we stopped for lunch and made a visit to Don King’s Western Museum.
En Sheridan, Wyoming paramos a comer y a visitar el Museo del Oeste de Don King.
It was a little boring…

…but we did see a few interesting things:

After the museum we drove to Billings, Montana where we met our hostess for the night, Roseanne. Later in the evening, when he got home from work, we met Roseanne’s husband, Carl. Roseanne and Carl are the grandparents of the wife of the brother of a friend of Scott and Caressa who lived in their house in Alaska for a summer! It took us a while to sort out how we knew each other, but Carl and Roseanne were very hospitable and we are very thankful for their generosity.
Después del museo manejamos hasta Billings, Montana donde conocimos and nuestra anfitriona de hoy, Roseanne. Mas tarde conocimos a su esposo, Carl, cuando el llego del trabajo. Roseanne y Carl son los abuelos de la esposa del hermano de una amiga del pastor Scott y Caressa quien vivió en su casa un verano en Alaska. Duramos un rato averiguando como nos conocíamos, pero Carl y Roseanne fueron muy amables y estamos muy agradecidos por su generosidad.
We trust that tomorrow we will be able to make the trip from Billings to Spokane, WA. It’s very exciting to finally be this close to Washington and we are anxious to get going and get there tomorrow!
Confiamos en Dios que mañana vamos a poder manejar desde Billings, Montana hasta Spokane, Washington. Es muy emocionante estar tan cercas de Washington y ¡tenemos ansias de emprender el viaje y llegar mañana!
