Sunday, May 9 - Driving to Daphne

Sunday morning we partook of a delightful breakfast and stimulating conversation - in Spanish since Kevin is fluent in Spanish! - which we enjoyed to the fullest. After breakfast we said goodbye to our new friend before getting back on the road with the goal of Daphne, Alabama by night.

To keep us energetic on our journey, we had bought some Pure Pep (from Pepboys, where else?), all bottled up and ready for our enjoyment throughout the day.

After a comparitively short (2 hour) jaunt from Dallas to the state line, we were welcomed into Louisiana.

Bienvenidos a Louisiana!!!
To keep himself alert, Miguel took in all the beautiful scenery, including this '68 Chevelle we saw along the way.

We also enjoyed seeing the Great Mississippi River...

El rio Mississippi!

...which welcomed us into the great state of Mississippi.

By no conscious choice, we chose to stop at a Love's truck stop each time we needed to refuel, so we had to record it as a traveling companion.

My favorite pieces of scenery were the magnolia trees...

...and the Mississippi sunset.

El atardecer en Mississippi!!

And, finally, WELCOME TO ALABAMA!
